With our sights set on remote destinations around the Pacific Ocean like Alaska, Chilean Patagonia, New Zealand, and Japan, we'll be writing about our explorations as we go aboard SV SIRI!
We're alive. We're sailing (mostly motoring), a lot. We're learning. We're moving and shaking down this whole living, working, cruising and boat systems deal. And, we're in Alaska!
But it's taking more time than we thought, and sometimes one of the balls we're juggling falls out of the air.
We left Sidney, B.C., on April 26, bound for Alaska, with our bow pointed south toward Olympia, Washington, as you do.
Because of a bad batch of fabric, we had to return to Olympia to have warranty work completed on the canvas project that was completed the prior fall and finish up a few other to-dos before making our way north for the summer.
